New Graphic!

So I made a new picture like that of the pink one and its sister. This one i made so it can be put on yoru desktop -- its at 1600 x 1200 resolution, so you need one mother of a screen to out-do that.

The only thing i dont like about this one is the objects in it are too big... when you put it on your desktop, it almost seems obnoxious... so you may wanna try leaving it at a lower resolution... But I do like the colors and the gradients  used it in...

Later on I may put something in that lower left hand corner, cause it seems like all the activity is at the top...

Click on the image and it'll take you to the deviantArt page for this... first page has a small view about this size, and then you click on that to get a size of about 900 x 700... you can right click and save that to your compputer for a smaller size or, if you want the full size 1600 x 1200, there's a download link to the left of the image....

Re-emerging from the dead...

So my xanga is slowely, but surely rising from the dead, as I got 5 comments from 3 different people last post... woot... God i haven't used that word in forever (if you call 'woot' a word)... i havent used that since the good ol' runescape days lol...

Oh and whats better is the comments had pertained to something from the post, meaning you guys actually took time out of your glorious lives to read my post, and then, as if reading it weren't enough, you commented! yay! lol....I'm pethetic i know....

i have a mountain dew... praise the Lord for mountain dew... like cashews, its one of Gods wonderful creations...

so if i could design an alien pistol like gun, it would look like my electric shaver.... random tidbit of the day.... i was holding my electric shaver (which hurts like hell by the way... it freakin twists and pulls the hairs out of your flesh...its not fun) like a gun, and i was like 'this would be a sweet weapon'... the way you hold it, your essentially pointing a finger at ur target and pushing a button with your thumb.... just thought you'd all like to be enlightened lol

so i've been trying to play civilization 4 lately, and its being retarded... apparently the minimum requirements for the game arent very good, even though my memory is double the recommended requirements.......recommended requirements... thats an oxymoron... but anyway, the minimum requirements say i can have a 64mb video card, and thats what i have and it still sucks... the recommended requirements (lol) say it should be 128mb.... i guess 64mb is getting kinda old.... lol and jacob's freaking got 32 mb.... games made 5 years ago wont work on his computer, its halarious...

so my internet rounds are really short now... i dont have a myspace to waste my time anymore, so i just check this .............. i think i've said this all before.... oh well... so i check this, no comments, i check me email, no emails... then i go home lol... honestly i think i spend more time reading yahoo's headlines than i do checking my social centers of the internet.... they's got interesting stuff sometimes, you should all check it out... lol

so i watched Children of Men last friday... i liked it... jacob says he liked, but i dont think he liked it like i did... and my parents... well they want their two hours of life back.... they obviously didnt see the point to the movie... oh... i dont recommend anyone see it, cause then you wont understand it, and you'll hate it, and then you'll hate me for liking it lol... i'll admit it could've been a lot better... its an amazing story gone wrong pretty much... and its kinda depressing at some parts, but i think if you look for the moral, its a really good moral... i wish it would've been better done, so people would understand it, and understand that there is gonna be a future, and we are in charge of making it a good one....thats something this society doesnt seem to understand... we're ruining the world, ecologically, politically, socially and culturally, and we dont seem to even notice, let alone care... what also pisses me off, is theres some people that do notice it, and they have the power to do something, and they dont... the ones with money buy themselves there mansions secluded from the falling world, and dont care about their brothers and sisters of this world.... i guess its hard though... one man cant change the world... even an organization can barely make a dent in the grand scheme of things... only our world leaders can help, but they're too busy working for personal gain...

School

First off, I'm probably gonna update a lot more because i'm not wasting my time on Myspace...

So this week for school was easy... it's exam week, and i only had to go to school today and tuesday... I had 3 exams Tuesday - Biology, Global Studies, and French - all of which seemed pretty easy. Global studies was just long... it was like 230 questions, so when i was done, i was pretty much brain dead for the French exam... and that just shows how easy the French exam must have been if I could do it while dead lol... Today I only had English and Geometry... English didn't deserve to be called an exam lol.... i've deffinetly taken quizzes harder than that... and geometry was rather easy, considering all we've really done this year so far is proofs, and we took the proofs test last Friday (which too was really easy... except for the first one, which anoyed me, cause that'd have been the easiest proof had my calculator not been stolen...)

I would have taken a health exam on Wednesday, but i opted out of it, cause i hate that class... thank the Lord i dont have to go back there.... So there's no school for anybody tomarrow... everyone had 3 exam days (we had monday off too)

So my schedule's shifting some this next semester... I no longer have the first lunch, which is good and also bad, i'm ussually not the hungriest person on the planet by fourth period (my lunch), but next semester, i have the second to last period lunch, with gym before it... i'm gonna be pretty hungry by then.... I have the same classes for the first 3 periods - Biology, Global Studies, and French.... I then have study hall (nap time lol), gym, then lunch, and then the same last two periods - English and Geometry...

enough with school... I have all the expansion packs to the Sims 2, and i'm makin some pretty neat buildings... i'm probably gonna post pictures here sooner or later

I got my Epiphone Les Paul for Christmas! I wanna take my mom's camera and do a few profesional shoots of it, and then photoshop it up and show you guys... It's a big upgrade from my little starter guitar Squier... I plugged it into Jacobs amp, and I love it... I'm learning pinch harmonics too, which are much easier on the Les Paul... i should try and see if its even possible with my Fender lol.... I wanna get some money and go to guitar center and look at pick guards, strap locks, and the little pickup caps.... all together, it'd be one of the cheaper guitar upgrades I could ever do, and most of its just for looks... i need strap locks cause my strap sucks, and the strap holder thingymajigers aren't very tight in there either...

Anyone seen the gas prices here? We're like traveling back in time a few years... I dont remember the last time it was below 2 bucks... this is a nice break... I should fill my tank to the max while i still can lol...My dad's not getting too excited though, he's convinced they'll fly back up any day now...which is probably true...

Welcome back to Xanga!

Well i've deleted my Myspace... finally.... although as much as i hated myspace, this is still gonna be tough, because nobody's gonna follow me here, so i essentially just left all my friends behind... yep... well I guess a true friend will come and say hi... we'll just see how many fakes we have out there then...

So I have exams this week... i took 3 of em yesterday and i'm taking 2 more tomarrow... i got today off ... but ya, i've got english and math tomarrow... english will be easy and i dont think math will be too bad either, cause most of its gonna be proofs and i'm not bad at those lol....

So me, cooper and jacob were chased around church by the devil and his minions today... it was freaky... lol

i wanna see Children of Men... it looks good...

As for my life in general, i've been good... i'm kind of confused.... i need to go to my bible for guidance... i've found God to be the only true leader and honest leader.... humans are corrupted too easily... but anyway, leaving myspace, and i'm getting closer and closer to leaving the church, its been like i'm leaving everything behind, and worse yet, i'm not going anywhere to replace it.... so i dont really know what i'm doing right now... i know i need to start over with some things, and lose some things in my life (like myspace) but it seems like i'm just destroying my comfort zones, and i have no safe place to be anymore.....I've told myself that i'm strong, and i'm trying to stay strong, but like i said, it seems like i'm getting rid of everything i've known and loved, and leaving myself out in the bitter cold to survive.... but at the same time i know i have to go through with all of this....

okay its midnight, and my shirt is off and the fan is on... its for noise, but its still making my room cold, plus i dont think my windows doing a very good job of keeping the cold air out *looks at window which is wide open*... ya... i'm freezing... i'm gonna go back and hide under my covers, for it seems like my bed is all the comfort i have left in this world....

Ecclesiastes Rules

Well I supposed its around that time to post again. I guess I could've waited a little longer... i'll be sure to make up for it next time lol... jk, i know its been a while... I need to get back into posting... writing helps me vent since I'm a very "enclosed" person, if you will... and it helps even more to have people respond to it...

So mainly i wanna talk about ecclesiastes... pretty short book in the bible, and probably one of my favorites (although i guess my favorites are kind of limited since i dont read the bible as much as i probably should)

Now when you read ecclesiastes, you gotta be careful, because from first glance, it seems to be a book proclaiming life is meaningless... and i guess you could say that, for the lives we live everyday are pretty much meaningless... but this book doesnt say all of life is meaningless. This book can't really be summed up. People who read it once and don't study it get nothing from it. But this book is full of little phrases that I've noticed to be true before I ever read them in the bible. This excited me when I found the values I carry and the things I've noticed are shown in the bible itself...

Example: Ecclesiastes 3:15 "15Whatever is has already been,
       and what will be has been before;"

Now you may need to read that in your head a couple times... it uses strange wording (but its fun to say once you know it lol) lol once you understand its meaning, theres no real way to sum it up.... can't really put it any other way. Find its meaning, and you'll know its very true.

Example: Ecclesiastes 4:2-3

                                           "2 And I declared that the dead,
                                               who had already died, 
                                               are happier than the living, 
                                               who are still alive.

                                            3 But better than both 
                                               is he who has not yet been, 
                                               who has not seen the evil 
                                               that is done under the sun."

That's also a very cool verse. It says under the evil and oppression of the world, the dead are happier than the living, who are still alive in the middle of the evil and oppression... but better than both is the man who is alive (since life is great) and hasn't seen the evil and oppression "done under the sun".... obviously, as i tried to sum it up, this verse too speaks for itself...

Example: Ecclesiastes 5:1-5

    "1 Guard your steps when you go to the house of God. Go near to listen rather than to offer the sacrifice of fools, who do not know that they do wrong.

      2 Do not be quick with your mouth, 
             do not be hasty in your heart 
             to utter anything before God. 
             God is in heaven 
             and you are on earth, 
             so let your words be few."

I've noticed some people lately, doing things "in the name of God" when it isn't for God, but for their own advantage. Verse one seems to say actually listen to God, rather than pretend to be his fallower. Second verse: do not claim to do things in the name of God if they arent in the name of God or bring dishonor upon his name... somehow thats what i got out of that... lol

If you are one to hoard riches, read chapter 5 verse 8 and on.... it talks about how riches are meaningless and lead to nothing in the end... a particular verse that stood out to me:

"15 Naked a man comes from his mother's womb,
       and as he comes, [he so] departs.
       He takes nothing from his labor
       that he can carry in his hand."

This verse basically says that when you die, you take none of your riches with you... I saw another verse around in ecclesiastes that said to work for riches is meaningless, for when you die, it all goes to someone who didnt work for it.

"1 I have seen another evil under the sun, and it weighs heavily on men: 2 God gives a man wealth, possessions and honor, so that he lacks nothing his heart desires, but God does not enable him to enjoy them, and a stranger enjoys them instead. This is meaningless, a grievous evil. "

This one made me chuckle... what I got from it is when you buy a new car your happy for a little while, and then after that while it becomes just another car, and its your son who takes the car out with some friends who enjoys the car
